摘要：

M&A transactions are the result of strategic decisions. When it comes to valuation and the price the potential acquirer should bid, a thorough evaluation of the options of both, acquirer and target, is necessary. The process is illustrated with the help of a textbook type case.

报告人概况：

Ulrich Balz is a professor of finance at the Münster School of Business, MUAS and programme director of the European Business Programme (EBP). He received Master’s degrees in Economics from Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz, and in Accounting & Finance from University of London/London School of Economics as well as a PhD in Economics from Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz. Before joining MUAS he has been working for five years as a management consultant in the Financial Institutions Group of McKinsey & Co.
